Sentence Structure – Can’t help + V-ing

Advanced sentence structures are important when it comes to speaking a precise sentence specially in a challenging situation. Here in this blog, I am going to share with you a very useful structure that you can use in speaking and writing to communicate better.

Can’t help

This structure is used with a gerund. If you can’t help doing something, it means you are unable to control what you have been doing. In other words, you can’t stop or control it.

इसका प्रयोग तब करते हैं जब आपको येबो लना हो की कोई चीज़ किये बिना आप नहीं रह सकते हैं.

जब कोई चीज़ किये बिना आप खुद को नहीं रोक सकते, ये बोलने के लिए इसका प्रयोग किया जाता है.

Subject + can’t help + v-ing + object.

Examples:

I can’t help eating chocolate everyday.

Can’t you help eating out?

I see you can’t help hanging out with friends. Why is so?

I can’t talk to him. He cannot help making fun of me.

I can’t help writing blogs everyday.
